Embrace the spirit of humanitarianism as you engage in rewarding experiences and forge meaningful connections with the local community. As a participant, you can volunteer your skills, work alongside dedicated local professionals, and contribute to improving healthcare access for underserved populations. Our journey starts in Kampala, Uganda, where you will join doctors, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners from Mulago National Referral Hospital and Makerere University. Classroom teaching, workshops, and hands-on experiences are all waiting for you to design and experience based on the medical expertise of each volunteering group. We will visit a school near Kampala and learn directly from the students about the impact of the 3C (Children Caring about Cancer) Program, initiated in 2010 by the Uganda Child Cancer Foundation and aimed at educating and empowering young people about cancer.

Your experience will be tailored in advance based on your desire for time commitment to participation in each of the offered medical volunteering experiences.
Program
Day 1
Arrival & Entebbe/Kampala
· You will be met and assisted with Customs and Immigrations formalities;
· You will be transferred to Latitude 0 Hotel in Kampala, for an early check-in.
· After lunch, conference activities at the hotel:
meet and greet local doctors, understand their modus operandi, their struggles and share yours;
discuss patients’ medical files and decide upon a strategy.

Day 2
Kampala
Visits to:
- Makerere University
- Makerere University Hospital
- Mulago National Referral Hospital
- Awegys School, near Kampala

Day 3
Kampala
Volunteer activities @ Mulago Hospital
This Hospital has the following specializations: Pediatric, Surgery and Internal Medicine services with all their subspecialities. The diagnostic services include Radiology, Clinical Laboratory, Pathology and Nuclear Medicine.

Departure day
Morning check-out, followed by transfer to EBB for outbound flight

Safari Extension
Day 7
Murchison Falls National Park
- Morning check-out, followed by transfer to Murchison Falls National Park;
- En-route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking and lunch;
- Continue to Murchison Falls, arriving at the park for scenic viewing at Top of the Falls, followed by transfer to Pakuba Safari Lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.
Day 8
Mahogany Springs
Morning game drive with bush breakfast, followed by transfer to the airstrip with packed lunch for scheduled flight at 13h15 to Kihihi Airstrip.
Upon arrival at Kihihi Airstrip, you will be met and transferred to the Mahogany Springs Lodge
Day 9
Gorilla Trekking
Early breakfast followed by transfer to park headquarters for gorilla trekking with packed lunch.
Afterwards, return to the lodge to enjoy the balance of day at leisure.
Day 10
Transfer to Kihihi airstrip for scheduled flight Kihihi-EBB. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.
Day 11
Morning airport transfer to EBB for departure flight.
